My name is Alexine Puglisi and I am a Sicilian freelance filmmaker based in Greater Manchester.

Born from a culture of ‘cuntisti’, puppeteers and hand gestures, I was raised on storytelling and art.  I moved from Italy to Wales to, finally, England rapidly adjusting in pursuit of my passion.

I recently attained a BA in Film Production with first class honours at the University of Salford.  

My goal as an artist is to focus on authenticity and representation, showcasing new faces, stories, REAL experiences, and topical issues. 

I have been trained on industry-standard cameras such as the EVA1, Varicam LT, Varicam Super 35, Arri Alexa etc. I have worked both on short films, documentaries, live broadcasting and music videos alike, ranging from smaller sets to more professional work environments.

I am not afraid of hard work. I have drive and purpose, a thirst for knowledge pushing me to be eager to learn, ambitious and in constant search of new challenges and experiences.

Ultimately, I base most of my work on the human figure and on interaction, with the goal of raising public awareness of taboo subjects. All in all, my objective is to showcase the struggles and victories that engulf and bind us all, uncovering some truths about what it means to be human.
